• Muscles, Bones and Function:
Our touch in Functional Integration can be more effective and informative when our thinking encompasses all aspects of action. When we include our client's muscles, bones, ways of thinking and feeling and acting in each moment of contact, the lesson can be experienced by the person as truly complete and memorable. In this tutorial, Awareness Through Movement and FI skills will be presented to further our understanding of the relationships of the feet and legs to the whole person. Expand and deepen your precision of touch and understanding of muscular, skeletal and functional relationships when working through the feet and legs. Julie will also focus on each participant's way of using themselves while giving a FI lesson. The issue of self-use can also be addressed in more depth during your private FI with Julie.
Sunday February 10: 9:30am – 3:30pm.
Tuition: $150, includes an individual Functional Integration lesson with Julie.
• Breath and Movement:
Learn to work with clarifying the relationship of breathing to the ease of movement in the chest and shoulders by implementing powerful strategies from Alexander Yanai lessons that focus on breath. Taking time to experience these lessons deepens our understanding of how ease of movement is intimately connected to ease of breathing. Through internal experience and practice with each other, we will improve our ability to translate a specific image or action from an ATM lesson into a precise communication in FI made with touch and voice.
Sunday April 6: 9:30am – 3:30pm. – 3:30pm.
Tuition: $150, includes a Functional Integration lesson with Julie.
