Deborah Bowes & Cliff Smyth's Feldenkrais Learning Resources Pages

Introduction

Over the years we have developed a number of presentations, papers, resource and reading lists on topics of interest for the study of the Feldenkrais Method. Often these resources have only been available to those at the actual presentation or workshop. We thought we would create a place where there can be accessed on a continuing basis for Feldenkrais teachers, trainees and other interested people. We hope that they will be of interest and use for your study and learning.

Topics

  1. What we have learned about successful practice We discuss the ideas, actions and practices we have discovered contribute to creating a successful Feldenkrais practice. This the first part of an article we provide to people undertakinging our Art of Practice program.
  2. Case studies: Articles, power point presentations and lists about Feldenkrais Method case studies and case study research
  3. The Pelvic Floor: an annotated bibliography, plus links to articles
  4. 'Thinking Through Moving': two Powerpoint presentations exploring the relationship between 'thinking' and movement, in relation to the Feldenkrais Method
  5. Working with dogs: this article was published in The Feldenkrais Journal.
  6. Educational ideas and theory: an annotated bibiography of interesting books on education.
  7. Repetitive strain injuries and the Feldenkrais Method: Links to articles and a downloadable handout about RSIs.

We hope to add more material on a variety of topics in the future.
